Khalin Joshi on Tee No. 1 in Taiwan

Bengaluru’s 32-year-old Khalin Joshi was the only Indian in the field at this week’s $100,000 Ambassador ADT in Taiwan. The 6-time PGTI winner, playing his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) event of the season, carded rounds of 72-65-69 and a total score of 10-under 206 to finish Tied-7th.

The result followed a Tied-12th finish last week at the Singha Laguna Phuket Open and represents a steady run of form as Joshi eyes a return to the main Asian Tour.

This week’s event, however, also highlighted a stark contrast to the previous season, where Indian representation on the ADT circuit was significantly stronger. In the summer of 2024, regular Indian contenders such as veteran Rahil Gangjee, Yuvraj Sandhu, Aman Raj, Arjun Prasad, Arjun Sharma, Pukhraj Singh Gill, among other players, featured prominently in several ADT starts. Notably, 46-year-old Gangjee—the seasoned pro from Kolkata—won two ADT titles and finished 3rd in the 2024 ADT Rankings, earning full status on the 2025 Asian Tour.

In comparison, the 2025 season has seen rare appearances by Indian professionals who have mysteriously all but disappeared from international pro golf.

ADT Heads to Morocco
The Asian Development Tour now shifts to Africa for the first time, with back-to-back events in Marrakech, Morocco, this June under the banner of the Morocco Rising Stars Marrakech series.

  • June 19–22: Samanah Golf Club
  • June 26–29: Al Maaden Golf Resort

Both tournaments will offer US$125,000 purses and are being co-sanctioned with the Arab Golf Federation (AGF) as part of a new three-year collaboration with the Asian Tour.

India is expected to be better represented in Morocco, with six players including Rahil Gangjee and Khalin Joshi already confirmed for the first leg at Samanah.
