Saptak at the European Challenge Tour’s Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge

Saptak Talwar, the 26-year-old Delhi-born professional golfer and India’s sole representative on the European Challenge Tour (now known as the HotelPlanner Tour), delivered a resilient performance at the €300,000 Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge, held from June 12-15, in The Czech Republic. Making his seventh cut in nine starts this year, Talwar finished Tied-63rd with a total score of 3-over 287, after making the cut on the line with a second-round 2-under 70.

Playing his first full season after earning his card through qualifying school in winter 2024, Talwar’s season-best performance remains a Tied-37th finish at the UAE Challenge in April. He also earned his first professional victory in the same month on home soil—PGTI’s ₹1.5 crore Adani Invitational.

The HotelPlanner Tour, rebranded in 2025 under a multi-year sponsorship with HotelPlanner, offers a season prize fund exceeding €9 million, with each European event guaranteeing at least €300,000. India also has a long-standing history with the tour, hosting two €300,000 events in March 2023, one of which was won by Mhow’s Om Prakash Chouhan at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) in Bengaluru.

Talwar’s next stop is in France, from June 19-22, where he will look to climb the Road to Mallorca Rankings and edge closer to a DP World Tour card.
