24-year-old Diksha Dagar was the lone Indian to make it to the weekend at the €450,000 KPMG Women’s Irish Open, held from July 3-6 at Carton House in Ireland, as World No. 1 amateur Lottie Woad of England stormed to her first professional title.

Diksha finished tied-63rd after posting rounds of 75-73-73-77 for a total of 6-over 298, her 11th cut in 15 starts in Europe this year which puts her at 12th in the 2025 LET Rankings. This still doesn’t get her into the Amundi Evian Championship this week, but she is confirmed to play the AIG Women’s British Open from July 30th to August 3rd at Royal Porthcawl in Wales.

The other three Indians in the field—Avani Prashanth, Tvesa Malik, and Hitaashee Bakshi—all missed the cut.

Lottie Woad’s Historic Victory
While Indian hopes struggled in Ireland, the week belonged firmly to 21-year-old English amateur Lottie Woad, who delivered a stunning wire-to-wire performance to capture the title by six shots. Woad fired rounds of 68-67-67-69 to finish at 21-under 271, comfortably ahead of Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom at 15-under.

Woad’s victory is especially significant as she remains an amateur. Last year, she won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and finished tied-10th at the AIG Women’s Open, and now adds her first LET title to an already glittering array of achievements. Despite the win, she confirmed that she will remain an amateur a while longer, as she needs just two more points under the LPGA’s Elite Amateur Pathway (LEAP) system to secure her LPGA Tour card.
