Aditi and her father during Round 1 in France
The fourth women’s Major of the 2025 season—the $8 million Amundi Evian Championship—is underway this week from July 10-13 at the scenic Evian Resort Golf Club in France. Making her 8th career appearance here, Bangalore’s 27-year-old Aditi Ashok is off to a blazing start with a 4-under 67 in the opening round to sit Tied-7th, just 2 shots off the lead.
The 3-time Olympian produced a sharp round powered by five birdies and just one bogey, marking one of her best-ever starts at a Major, and positioning her well within contention.
A regular on the LPGA Tour for eight seasons, Aditi’s best finish at the Evian Championship came last year when she posted a Tied-17th finish. In her seven previous starts, the 27-year-old has made the cut three times, and she’ll be looking to add to that total this week amid a world-class field.
This season on the LPGA Tour, Aditi has had a mixed run. After a season-best top-10 finish at the Mexico Riviera Maya Open in May, she missed the cut at her last Major start—the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She has made 5 cuts in ten starts so far in 2025.
With just one Major left after this—The AIG Women’s Open in late July—the Amundi Evian Championship is a pivotal moment for Aditi and a strong Round 2 could set the stage for a career-defining weekend in France.
