Diksha Dagar, the 24-year-old Arjuna Awardee and two-time Ladies European Tour (LET) winner, made the cut at the ongoing US$2 million ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open, with a strong field of LPGA stars, who are using this event to prepare for next week’s AIG Women’s British Open.

Dagar opened with a 3-under 69 in testing links conditions, placing her Tied-17th after Round 1. Though she followed with a second-round 76, it was just enough to make the cut on the number at T-59, ensuring she’ll play the weekend in a field packed with the best players in women’s golf.

This week’s star-studded leaderboard includes World No.1 Nelly Korda and three-time major champion Minjee Lee. Out in front is 21-year-old Lottie Woad — the former World No.1 amateur, 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion and recent KPMG Women’s Irish Open winner. Now in just her second start as a professional, Woad leads by two strokes at 12-under after firing rounds of 67 and 65.

For Dagar, making the cut in such elite company is a testament to her consistency this season. Currently ranked 13th on the LET Order of Merit, she’s posted five top-10 finishes and a runner-up showing at the Lalla Meryem Cup earlier this year.

Among the other Indians in the field, Pranavi Urs, returning from injury, missed the cut by one stroke, while Tvesa Malik was further adrift.  Dagar will now look to climb the leaderboard over the weekend before heading to Royal Porthcawl for the AIG Women’s Open next week.
