Zion Hills Golf County, located outside Bangalore, unveiled its long-awaited new back nine holes during the 10th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (WPGT)—an event that saw Ridhima Dilawari claim her first professional victory since 2022.
The development of the back nine, initially slated for completion by 2022, was delayed due to land acquisition challenges.
“The second nine is adjacent to the front nine,” said Menomparampil, MD Zion Hills, detailing the butterfly-shaped layout, which centers around a shared clubhouse and practice area. The new stretch of holes features rocky outcrops, lakes and a mango plantation, integrated seamlessly into the routing. Zion Hills is the only course in India with A4 bentgrass greens on all 18 holes.

On the course, it was Ridhima Dilawari who shone brightest, carding 72-70-74 for an even-par 216 and a four-shot victory. Bangalore amateur Saanvi Somu finished runner-up at 4-over 220, while Amandeep Drall and Neha Tripathi mounted challenges in the final round. Ridhima, who led by four heading into the final day, stumbled early but delivered a flawless back nine to seal the win.
Her last victory came at Panchkula in November 2022. With this win, she now moves to second on the Hero WPGT Order of Merit with Rs. 9,58,000 from 8 starts. Vani Kapoor of Gurgaon continues to lead the standings with Rs. 14,43,667, thanks to four wins in nine events this season.
