LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil announces bold 2026 plans
LIV Golf is gearing up for its most ambitious season yet in 2026, with new venues and an expanded prize fund. Steyn City in Johannesburg, South Africa, will host LIV’s first event in Africa from March 20–22.
The global calendar will span five continents, with returning events in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City and the UK. New Orleans’ Bayou Oaks is set to join the U.S. schedule alongside stops in Chicago, Indianapolis, Michigan, and Virginia.
Prize purses will increase to US$30 million per event—US$20M for individual play and US$10M for team competition, double the current figure. This makes LIV more lucrative than even PGA Tour’s top-tier events.
LIV is also shifting toward sustainability, with team captains managing sponsorships and roster decisions, moving away from headline-grabbing signings and towards long-term team success.
