Shubham has played in 4 events since earning his card

Shubham Jaglan, 20, from New Delhi and fresh out of the University of South Florida, carded 66-66-64-65 to finish tied-3rd at the US$225,000 BioSteel Championship in Ontario, Canada — a huge breakthrough for the young pro in only his 4th pro tournament on the PGA Tour Americas – which is the 3rd rung tour in America after the PGA Tour & Korn Ferry Tour.

Jaglan’s solid performance has provided some hope for what has otherwise been a dismal year so far for Indian men’s pro golf internationally and should boost his confidence as he tries to progress to the next level on the Korn Ferry Tour.

PGA Tour Americas: Shubham makes cut in his pro debut

His pro debut began with making the cut and finishing 44th in his very first event as a pro, followed by two missed cuts and then this outstanding week where he has shot 19 under par and signalled his ability to win at this level.

The PGA Tour Americas combines 10 tournaments in Canada and 6 in Latin America in 2025 for a total of 16 events with a standard purse size of US$225,000. In contrast the Korn Ferry Tour consists of 22 events with US$1 million purses and 4 final series events with US$1.5 million purses. The top 10 players from PGA Tour Americas get full playing rights on the Korn Ferry Tour for the next year.  Although Jaglan has only earned US$12,546 from his four starts and lies 67th on the rankings, he will next play the US$225,000 Manitoba Open from Aug. 21–24, looking to build on his momentum.
