Lahiri stands 23rd on the LIV Golf rankings
Anirban Lahiri, India’s former PGA Tour regular and now a key member of Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers Team, finished a lowly 34th at LIV Golf Chicago and with only one individual event left, the 37-year-old sits 23rd on the season standings at 54.33 points — narrowly ahead of teammate Charles Howell III (54.03) and Tyrrell Hatton (52.15). Only the top 24 are guaranteed spots in LIV Golf for next year; those outside enter the “Open Zone,” becoming free agents unless retained by their captain.
Lahiri’s season includes two top-10s — T-7 in Adelaide and joint runner-up in Virginia — but he needs a strong finish next week to secure his spot since with LIV’s points system awarding 40 to the winner, 30 to the runner-up, and 1 point for 21st–24th, a strong finish from Hatton or others could push him out.
The final stop in Indianapolis from Aug. 15–17 will decide if Lahiri secures another season with Crushers or faces the uncertainty of a captain’s pick.
