
Pranavi’s recovery seems complete
Pranavi Urs, 22, playing her second full season on the Ladies European Tour (LET), finished 21st at the US$340,000 Hills Open in Sweden with rounds of 76-72-69 for a 4-over total of 217.
Returning from a wrist injury, the Mysuru golfer showed progress, posting her best finish since 11th in South Africa in April. The result earned her US$5,300 (₹4.6 lakh). Pranavi has now played 10 events this season, making seven cuts and earning US$43,700 (₹38.2 lakh) to sit 78th on the LET Rankings.
Among other Indians, Hitaashee Bakshi, the 2024 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT) No. 1, shot 74-75-71 to place 41st, while Sneha Singh, the 2023 HWPGT No. 1, carded 72-73-76 for 47th.
Amandeep Drall (+12), Tvesa Malik (+13), and Avani Prashanth (+14) missed the cut, while Vani Kapoor retired after an opening-round 82.
The tour now moves to the USA for its US$ 2mn Aramco Houston Championship, which will see rookie Avani Prashanth and Pranavi in action from Sep. 5-7 while Diksha Dagar takes a well deserved break at home in Delhi after a long and highly successful season so far in Europe.
