The Pro-Am event on the day prior to the tournament is always a big celebration as for two days, hundreds of ordinary amateur golfers get to play alongside iconic pro players who they otherwise only watch on TV.
The day also featured a special foursome — Rory McIlroy, Rishi Narain (Editor-in-Chief, India Golf Weekly), Dr. Pawan Munjal (Chairman, Hero MotoCorp), and Avani Shah from Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, a guest of DP World.

The atmosphere at the pro-am felt more like a festival. Fans thronged the venue to catch glimpses of their favourite stars, collecting autographs, snapping photos, and participating in interactive contests at the Fan Village, where winners took home exclusive DP World merchandise.
Former Open champion Shane Lowry’s team , stole the show — cruising to victory by nine strokes with a stunning 45-under-par total, the best performance of the day. Jordan Smith’s team finished runner-up at 36-under, capping a spirited contest among amateurs and professionals alike.
