15th annual ‘Drive Against Cancer’ concludes at Qutab

Affluent golf communities around the world leverage their influence to raise money for worthwhile charitable causes and so the trend continues in India. 

The 15th annual ‘Drive Against Cancer’ was staged by RN Sports Marketing at Qutab Golf Club on October 18th, an initiative by the Indian Cancer Society aimed at raising funds to help continue their good work. Supported for the long term by SRF, and joined by Defence and Aerospace company Data Patterns, the event saw an impressive turnout from the golf and wider sports community, including former head of Niti Aayog Amitabh Kant, and Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, with a big contingent of senior Defence officials, who participated to rally behind the cause.

The winning team consisting of Hritik Gandhi and Gurtek Sodhi won the grand prize of a trip to the week long International Pairs Festival of Golf in Vietnam in March 2026.

The event featured the following prizes in multiple categories and on-course contests that rewarded consistent play –

The gathered proceeds will support underprivileged cancer patients with care and rehabilitation services, raise awareness for early detection, and provide survivor support. The annual Drive Against Cancer tournament is a testament to how sports can significantly contribute to societal welfare, with the Qutab Golf Club’s grounds serving as the perfect backdrop for an event that emphasised both competitive spirit and communal solidarity.
