In the pursuit of playing overseas, and encouraged by the growing number of Indians earning their full playing rights in Europe, a record number of 16 Indian women golfers will tee it up at the Ladies European Tour Qualifying Tournament from December 10–20, in Morocco, marking one of the country’s biggest contingents ever at the event. The group is led by Vani Kapoor, the Hero WPGT No. 1 and a five-time winner this season, who is directly exempt into the Final Stage.
India already has a record four players holding full LET playing status for 2026 — Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs, Avani Prashanth and Hitaashee Bakshi. Bakshi, last year’s Hero WPGT rankings leader, secured her card with a T-3 finish at the Hero Women’s Indian Open last month and a string of other consistent finishes.
Vani, who has played on and off in Europe for the past decade, enters the Qualifier to improve her ranking category and thereby earn entry into more tournaments in 2026. The rest of the Indian group will begin at the Pre-Qualifier stage, played over 54 holes across four courses in Marrakech from December 10–12. Successful players will advance to the five-round Final Stage from December 16–20 at Royal Golf Marrakech and Al Maaden Golf Marrakech.

With a deep field and the entire year’s planning at stake, the annual Qualifying Tournament remains one of the most demanding and nerve-wracking tests in women’s golf. For India, it’s also an opportunity: a chance to add to its strongest-ever presence on the LET — and to push new faces toward the highest level in 2026.
