Europe Qualifying – Indians fall short

Vani Kapoor is set to play 12 events on the LET in 2026 courtesy of topping the Hero Indian Women’s rankings

Despite some 15 Indian girls having headed to Morocco to attempt to earn playing rights in Europe for 2026, only five made it to the final Qualifying Stage, but none cracked the top 20 which would have secured full 2026 playing rights.

Anika Varma finished 66th, Tvesa Malik  86th, teenage amateur Saanvi Somu was 119th, veteran Vani Kapoor 141st and Nayanika Sanga tied-146th.

Vani still gets 12 LET starts in 2026 after five Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT) wins got her to top the domestic rankings.

Weather woes axed the opening round, shrinking the event to 72 holes over four days without a cut—unlike the usual 90-hole format.

It marks a tough shift from recent success: Avani Prashanth tied-16th last year for full status, Pranavi Urs tied-13th in 2023 for 2024 rights, with both scheduled to continue their LET journey next year.
