
18-year-old Ribhav Verma of Panchkula secured victory at the IGU Hyderabad Amateur Championship 2026, carding rounds of 66-69-72-71 (10-under 278) at Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club.
The Haryana golfer, who led after each of the first three rounds, closed with a steady 1-under 71 to complete a wire-to-wire win.
Verma has also represented India at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain last year, where he finished tied 28th. He also won the Kolkata Masters amateur event in August last year and is set to join the University of Louisiana Monroe later this year.
Delhi’s Deepak Yadav (72-71-69-71) and Bengal’s Anshul Mishra (68-71-72-72) finished tied second at 5-under 283.
Ranveer Mitroo of Delhi produced one of the best rounds of the final day with a 4-under 68 to move into a tie for fourth at 2-under 286, alongside Haryana’s Gulfam Hussain (73-72-71-70) and Uttar Pradesh’s Parth Raman Sood (69-71-70-76), who slipped after a closing 76.
Arin Ahuja (72-75-71-70) and Chaitanya Pandey (74-71-73-70) shared seventh place at even-par 288 after matching final rounds of 70.
