42-year-old Rahil Gangjee, a former Japan Tour winner, made the cut in his second start in Japan shooting 73-66-68-76 to finish tied-47th at the US$ 550,000 Kansai Open Championship in Kobe.
In 2020, Rahil, who shifted base from Kolkata to Bangalore a couple of years back, could play only three Japan Tour events, making cuts in two, with his tied-37th finish at the US$ 10mn SMBC Singapore Open being his best finish. Rahil played in four events on the PGTI starting in December, tying for fourth at the ₹ 1.5crore Tour Championship in Jamshedpur.
