India Golf Festival tees off 117 players

The 8th edition of the India Golf Festival, held at ITC Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon on February 13th saw 117 golfers tee off to compete for the 50 odd prizes on offer. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism under its Incredible India campaign, the event kicks off a series of tournaments including Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune and Srinagar to boost domestic golf tourism.

Corporate sponsors LG Electronics offered players instant real time playback of their swing videos while MG Motors, showcasing their Hector, Gloster and new Electric vehicle introduced a Tech-Tracman challenge recording clubhead speeds and carry distance of shots, providing non stop excitement for the players. HSBC, Ecco and Indian Terrain sponsored several gifts and prizes along with WelcomHeritage Hotels, Sara Group and Thriwe. 

Over 50 prizes in various age group and handicap categories for two member teams and individuals plus fabulous lucky draws ensured full attendance till the conclusion of the event. 

A welcome boost for reviving golf tourism in the Indian market.
