Lahiri returns to PGA Tour after Covid break

33-year-old Anirban Lahiri, who had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 19th and had to miss the PGA Tour events scheduled in the following weeks will be seen back in action at the US$7.9mn AT& T Byron Nelson, in Texas from May 13-16.

In April, Lahiri finished solo fifth at the US$7.7mn Valero Texas Open to take his season earnings to US$632,000 ( Rs 4.8 crores approx).

Lahiri is currently the second-best Indian in the World Golf Rankings (behind Udayan Mane) and just ahead of Gaganjeet Bhullar. He will be eligible for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics in July, given he keeps his place in the rankings.
