Aditi got her 2025 LPGA season off to a quick start and will look to build on her momentum
Five-time Ladies European Tour (LET) winner and two-time Olympian Aditi Ashok began her 2025 LPGA campaign with a T34 finish at the Founders Cup, held from February 6-9 at Bradenton Country Club, Florida. Aditi carded rounds of 72-70-69-69, finishing at 4-under par and earning ₹10 lakh in prize money. This marks a steady start for the 26-year-old, who is entering her eighth consecutive season on the LPGA Tour.
Despite a difficult 2024 season, where Aditi’s world ranking dropped from No. 42 to No. 94, she retained her LPGA playing rights, ensuring another full season on the circuit. Last week, the Arjuna Awardee secured her place in the weekend rounds by narrowly making the cut and continued to better her performance over the final two rounds.
Aditi, who has been India’s flagbearer in women’s professional golf, will look to build on this performance as she seeks to regain her form and push for stronger finishes in the coming events. Her game has continued to evolve, and despite fluctuating rankings, she remains a steady presence on the LPGA Tour, competing against the world’s best.
The tournament saw Yealimi Noh of the United States claim her maiden LPGA victory, finishing four strokes ahead of former World No. 1 Jin Young Ko. Megan Khang secured solo third at 16-under, marking her first top-five finish since the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open.
Meanwhile, Bradenton native and current World No. 1 Nelly Korda finished T7 at 12-under, while Lexi Thompson secured a T13 result at 9-under.
The tour moves to Thailand next week for the Honda LPGA Thailand from February 20-23, where Aditi is waitlisted as a reserve on the 17th spot.
