Ahlawat wins as Amateur Tour restarts in Chandigarh

Ahlawat (Centre) got back in the winner’s circle

26-year-old Anant Singh Ahlawat from Haryana, the 2018 All India Amateur Championship winner, won the season opening 22nd annual Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship at Chandigarh GC in a playoff as the Indian Golf Union’s (IGU) National Men’s Amateur Tour resumed action on Aug. 26th. He shot a creditable total of  5-under 283 for the four rounds.

The top-4 finishers scores –

Anant Singh Ahlawat – 5-under 283 (Winner in a playoff)

Vinamra Anand – 5-under 283

Shaurya Bhattacharya – 4-under 284

Karanveer Singha – 3-under 285

Chandigarh UT Sports Director, Sanyam Garg, gave away the prizes to the winners. 84 players participated from across India.
