The 2025 PGA Members’ International Conference, in Phuket, saw attendance from 75 PGA of Great Britain & Ireland members and industry professionals from across Asia, and was open to all club owners, superintendents, coaches, industry professionals and managers—focused on equipping attendees with forward-looking strategies to meet the evolving demands of the golf industry.
India’s lone representative at this important educational event was Rishi Narain, in his capacity with the Asian Golf Industry Federation, as Head – Sponsorship, Events & Memberships. The event ran under the theme “Driving Success: Innovation & Technology for Golf Leaders and Coaches.”

Keynote presentations included Andrew Johnston (GM and Director of Agronomy, Sentosa Golf Club), who detailed the club’s sustainability roadmap, Gareth Knight (Toro Southeast Asia), who showcased turf technology innovations aimed at enhancing efficiency and environmental stewardship, and Renee Xu (VP, Club Car).
PGA of GB&I Chief Executive Robert Maxfield opened the conference with a strategic outlook for 2025, while sessions led by PGA Master Coach Jonathan Wallett and golf experience digital marketing expert Carl Heaton delved into coaching and consumer engagement. Heaton’s workshop on AI-driven strategies for management and instruction drew particular interest among delegates.
