The Asian Tour returned to India in 2025 after a two-year gap, re-establishing a key pathway for Indian professionals to bigger stages — including The International Series and, ultimately, the LIV Golf League.
It was the Tour’s first stop in the country since the US$500,000 Delhi GC Open in March 2023, and the comeback was anchored by the US$ 2 million International Series India at DLF GC, Gurgaon in February followed by the US$500,000 Bharat Classic played in Ahmedabad in November.
The Asian Tour has also confirmed that International Series India will return in 2026, with dates expected soon – but at Prestige Golfshire in Bangalore.
For Indian pros, the opportunity is important – but they have to up their performances to capitalise better. With only Gaganjeet Bhullar finishing in the top 65 of the Asian Tour Money List in 2025, India’s best male golfers have never been ranked lower on the international stage even though at home the picture is rosy.
