Asian Tour – Saptak Talwar best-Indian in Saudi Arabia

Saptak Talwar wraps up his 2025 season with a strong T-11 finish in Saudi Arabia

Saptak Talwar, formerly from New Delhi,  closed his season with one of the best Asian Tour results by any Indian in 2025, finishing T-11 on 13-under 275 at the US$1 million Saudi Open, the Asian Tour’s season finale.

The former PGTI winner, who played extensively on Europe’s HotelPlanner (Challenge) Tour this year, was playing just his second Asian Tour event. He opened with a flying 64 to take the solo lead then held on with 70-73-68 to stay in the mix through the weekend.

Talwar’s finish was worth US$18,275 (about ₹16.4 lakh) — his best payday of the year overseas, bettered by  the ₹22.5 lakh winner’s cheque he earned at the Adani Invitational at his home course Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida,  in April.

What’s next for Talwar: he heads into 2026 with conditional status in Europe while also returning to the PGTI schedule, where he currently sits 12th on the rankings.

Former Asian Tour winner Khalin Joshi of Bangalore carded 68-70-70-71 for a tied-34th finish at 9-under 279.

Indian players who missed the cut included –

Chikkarangappa S. (76-68) & Ajeetesh Sandhu (70-75).
