Honey, who made his first bogey of the tournament on his 66th hole on the spectacular Robert Trent Jones designed course , started his final day four strokes ahead of the field and despite his challengers closing the gap to two , pulled away with 3 birdies in the final 5 holes for a final round 68 to claim his first title since 2018.

Veer Ahlawat recorded a 2nd consecutive runners up finish and eagled the par 4 11th while closing with a fine 66 which moved him to third on the PGTI Order of Merit with ₹28,18,221.

Honey, after struggling for most of the season, changed his putter and 2-iron the day before the event and earned ₹646,000 from the Rs 40 lac total purse as pro golf made a welcome return to Kashmir after a gap of some years.

Patna’s Aman Raj closed strongly with 12 birdies and only one bogey in his final 32 holes to jump into solo-third place followed by Om Prakash Chouhan and Angad Cheema at tied-4th.
