Raghav Chugh continues to impress on international levels

Raghav Chugh from Delhi GC, a recent graduate from Rice University in Texas, capped off a 3 week summer stint in the UK with a Tied-12th finish in a strong field at the prestigious Tillman Trophy Amateur tournament in England posting 75-68-72-71 to finish at 2-under 286.

Chugh also teed it up at the British Amateur Championship and the Peter Alliss Trophy, where he shot 67-71-69 to finish 4th at 3-under, just four strokes behind England’s Philipp Krone, the eventual winner.

Chugh, like the other DGC golfer Shubham Jaglan (who just graduated from Florida and got his PGA Americas Tour Card), leaves behind a decorated college career in which he became Rice’s all-time leader in stroke average at 72.71—a stat that underscores his consistency and promise.

With solid results in both the U.S. and Europe this season, Chugh could be a strong addition to Indian amateur teams at international events like the World Amateur (Eisenhower Trophy) coming up in Singapore this October, the Asia Pacific Team Amateur (Nomura Cup) and perhaps earn a spot at the Asian Amateur Championship in Dubai this October, should he decide to keep competing at the amateur level.
