The 24-year-old, two-time winner on the Ladies European Tour and Arjuna Awardee, Diksha Dagar, closed with rounds of 68, 65 and 72 for an 11-under total of 205 in the women’s individual stroke-play event. Her victory margin — 14 strokes over France’s Margaux Rezo — underlined complete control from start to finish. Canada’s Erica Dawn Rivard finished third at five-over.
Diksha, who also won gold in 2021 and silver in 2017, was the only player in the 21-woman field to post a sub-par score on day one. A superb 11-under in round two effectively sealed the title, giving her a lead no one could challenge.
The win adds to a career already marked by milestones. Diksha became only the second Indian after Aditi Ashok to win on the Ladies European Tour in 2019, and remains the only hearing-impaired golfer worldwide to have represented her country at both the Deaflympics and Olympic Games. She competed in Tokyo 2020 and again at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
India also had two other finishers: Harsh Singh placed 12th at 22-over, while Vibhu Tyagi tied for 14th at 24-over.
Diksha’s win continues a remarkable run for one of India’s most accomplished amateurs-turned-professionals — and a trailblazer in deaf sports.
