Golfers in the capital can enjoy watching the best young Indians take on the notoriously challenging Gary Player course at DLF Golf & Country Club this week as the PGTI stages the inaugural ₹1 crore, 4 day Kapil Dev – Grant Thornton Invitational.

The private course is allowing spectators to enter free of charge and take in the spectacular views of the course and watch the players take on dramatic risk – reward shots especially on the two finishing holes – 18th and 9th on either side of the clubhouse. The members’ only club has arranged for visitors to enjoy specially curated menus on direct payment this week.

The tournament was launched with inaugural tee-shots taken by legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, Vishesh Chandiok (CEO, Grant Thornton Bharat) & Aakash Ohri (Executive Director, DLF) off of the first tee.

In the main event, 126 Pros play the first two days after which there will be a cut for the top-50 players and ties.

In rounds 3 & 4, amateur teams will enjoy a unique pro-am experience in which each amateur will team up with one pro  and play for separate prizes in a Team format while the professional’s personal score counts towards the main event standings and the Rs 1 crore purse.
