Indian fans can once again expect to see many of the world’s best players at the Dubai Desert Classic, which has been upgraded to a US$8 million prize money event by becoming one of the five elite Rolex Series Events on the tour’s 2022 schedule along with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Scottish Open,  BMW PGA Championship & DP World Tour Championship.

The 2022 event will see its 12-year association with OMEGA come to an end as Dallas based Slync.io, a technology provider to the global logistics industry, has taken over the naming rights sponsorship for the event.

The UAE will now play host to three of the five Rolex Series events – Dubai Desert Classic, $9mn Abu Dhabi Championship, both played in January and season ending DP World Tour Championship which promote the season’s richest purses, strongest fields, enhanced media coverage and a gold star for the eventual champion.
