Eight Indian girls in Spain this week

Seher Atwal currently leads the Indian contingent in Spain

Eight Indian professionals are competing for 2023 playing rights on the Ladies European Tour’s Final Qualifying  from Dec. 17-21 at La Manga in Spain, after having got through the Pre-Qualifiers. 

Neha Tripathi, Hitaashee Bakshi, Seher Atwal, Asmitha Sathish, Sneha Singh, Ridhima Dilawari, Tvesa Malik and Sharmila Nicollet are playing the 90-hole qualifier. Depending on where they finish, upto 60th place, they could win various privileges from fully exempt to very limited eligibility on the 2023 Ladies European Tour, which is also showing extraordinary increases in prize money and tournaments.

Sneha Singh – 71-71-76 (T-45th)

Ridhima Dilawari – 74-77-73 (T-95th)

Hitaashee shot 68-74-71-71 (4-under 284) to finish third at the LET Pre-Q Asia at Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon in October.

Seher Atwal

Turned pro – 2020

2-time winner on the WGAI

Seher shot 72-77-73-68 (2-over 290) to finish 8th at the LET Pre-Q Asia at Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon in October.

Asmitha Sathish

Turned pro – 2021

Asmitha shot 77-72-75-71 (7-over 295) to finish tied-10th at the LET Pre-Q Asia at Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon in October.

Sneha Singh

Turned pro – July 2022 

4-time winner on the WGAI as an amateur

Sneha shot 74-71-66-70 (7-under 281) to win the LET Pre-Q Asia at Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon.

 

Ridhima Dilawari

Turned pro – 2018

11-time winner on the WGAI

In 2019, she won 5 events to finish 2nd on the WGAI OOM

Ridhima shot 71-74-72-77 (6-over 294) to finish tied-31st at the LET Pre-Q Europe in Spain

 

Tvesa Malik

Turned pro – 2017

10-time winner on the WGAI

Sharmila Nicollet

Turned pro – 2009

15-time winner on the WGAI

Previously, Sharmila played on the LET from 2012 to 2018 with a career- best T17 in the 2013 Turkish Ladies Open.

Last week, Sharmila shot 74-75-74-71 (6-over 294) to finish tied-31st at the LET Pre-Q Europe
