Diksha during Round 2 of the Dutch Ladies Open in Netherlands
In a good day for Indian golf, three Indian lady pros finished inside the Top 20 at the €330,000 Dutch Ladies Open, held from May 16–18—marking one of the strongest collective performances by Indian women on the Ladies European Tour (LET) this season.
Leading the Indians was Delhi’s Diksha Dagar, who carded rounds of 71-70-71 to finish with a total of 4-under 212 at Tied-9th. This was the Arjuna Awardee’s fourth Top-10 finish in 2025, propelling her back into the Top-5 of the LET Rankings at 5th place as the highest-ranked Indian golfer on the LET this season.
Just one stroke behind was Hitaashee Bakshi of Delhi, playing her first event this season on the LET, who returned a creditable performance with scores of 72-70-71 to end at 3-under 213 and Tied-12th. The 2024 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT) No.1 has partial status on the LET this year and is slated to play a long series of back-to-back events until July. Her solid start in Europe sets a strong foundation for the stretch ahead.
Bangalore’s 18-year-old Avani Prashanth, playing her rookie year on the LET, continued to show consistency with her Tied-19th finish at 2-under 214. This was her fourth Top-20 finish in eight starts this season, putting her at 39th in the LET rankings.
However, the week wasn’t as positive for the other Indian players in the field. Tvesa Malik, once a winner on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa, missed the cut after a poor start. This marked her fifth missed cut in six appearances on the LET this season as she continues to search for form.
Mysore’s Pranavi Urs, who had opened the event with a 5-over 77, withdrew from the tournament due to suspected injury-related concerns. Urs had finished a highly creditable 17th in the final 2024 LET Rankings.
Meanwhile, Sneha Singh of Hyderabad, the 2023 HWPGT Rankings No. 1, had been scheduled to play but missed the event due to visa delays.
The Ladies European Tour now moves to France for the €300,000 Jabra Ladies Open, scheduled for May 22–24 at the Evian Resort Golf Club, which also hosts the season’s fifth major—The Amundi Evian Championship—in July. With Diksha, Hitaashee, Avani, and others expected to tee it up again, Indian ladies’ participation continues to grow stronger on the European circuit.
