Final-round 73 sees Aditi Ashok settle for T-28 finish in France

India’s Aditi Ashok turned in a solid showing at the Amundi Evian Championship, finishing T-28 at the season’s fourth major on the LPGA Tour. The 27-year-old, three-time Olympian from Bangalore opened with impressive rounds of 67 and 69, climbing to T-7 at 6-under at the halfway mark—just four shots behind leader Somi Lee of South Korea.

Though the weekend proved tougher, with rounds of 70 and 73, Aditi remained composed on a demanding Evian Resort layout, ending the week at 3-under-par. She was the only Indian in the field, and her finish marked her first made cut in last five starts and sixth made cut, in 12 LPGA starts this season.

It’s been a season of highs and learning moments for Aditi. She earned a top-10 finish (T-9) at the Mexico Riviera Maya Open in May but missed the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Now in her ninth LPGA season, she ranks 88th in the CME Points List with US$182,900 (₹1.5 crore) in official earnings.

Next up: a move to the Scottish coast for the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open (July 24–27), where links golf and windy conditions will present an entirely different challenge.
