Fleetwood to defend DP World title in Delhi

Tommy Fleetwood poses last October with his trophy at DGC

World No. 3 Tommy Fleetwood will return to Delhi Golf Club from October 15 to 18 to defend his title at the US$ 4mn DP World India Championship.

Fleetwood won last year, closing with a two shot victory to claim his eighth DP World Tour title. He produced a decisive run around the turn on Sunday before adding key birdies on the 14th and 17th to seal the win, celebrating on the 18th green with his son Frankie.

The victory in Delhi formed part of a standout season for Fleetwood, who also captured the FedEx Cup on the PGA Tour and made his fourth Ryder Cup appearance, helping Europe win on US soil for the first time since 2012.

Launched in 2025 by the DP World Tour, the championship carries a prize purse of four million dollars, the largest purse ever seen in India and included the likes of Rory Mcilroy, and Ryder Cup stars Shane Lowry, Viktor Hovland, Luke Donald, Brian Harman and others.

Fleetwood said he looks forward to returning to India, highlighting both the challenge of Delhi Golf Club and the experience of playing in front of local crowds.
