The Hero Challenge is a unique tradition that was started a few years ago by the European Tour, now the DP World Tour, as a creative and fun way to challenge some of the best tour players. The most recent challenge, conducted just before the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and highlighted in last week’s newsletter, had Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, and Collin Morikawa attempt to hit a one-yard-wide fairway with a driver at the F1 strip at Yas Marina Circuit.
This week’s video provides a quick recap of all the challenges played over the years on tour and is narrated by Inci Mehmet, a former pro turned golf presenter.
As you will see in the video, some of the world’s best golfers, such as Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Shane Lowry, Ian Poulter, Viktor Hovland, and Tommy Fleetwood, have participated in the challenge.
