22-year-old Pranavi Urs from Mysore who is going to play her third straight season on the Ladies European Tour in 2026, produced one of the finest performances of her young career to become the first Indian woman to win on the IGPL Tour, defeating a field of male professionals with a sensational final-round 8-under 60 at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club.
Playing her IGPL debut, the 21-year-old from Mysuru began the day two shots behind overnight leader — and boyfriend — Karandeep Kochhar, but erased the deficit in style. Pranavi’s flawless card featured eight birdies, including a composed closing birdie on the 18th, to finish at 14-under and seal a landmark win at the IGPL Invitational Mumbai.
Kochhar, who signed off with a 6-under 64 highlighted by two eagles, finished runner-up at 12-under. He was quick to acknowledge Pranavi’s exceptional play.
“I had a feeling she would win — she was playing incredible golf,” Kochhar said. “She outplayed all of us. Early in the round, I knew I would have to produce something special to keep up.”
Pranavi, who already owns multiple wins on the Hero WPGT and has been one of India’s most promising talents in recent years, admitted the magnitude of the achievement had not fully sunk in.
“I’m still numb — it hasn’t hit me yet that I’ve actually won,” she said. “Playing alongside the boys on a platform like this is amazing. It shows you exactly where your game stands, and today everything clicked.”
Her 60 was the lowest round of the week on the par-68 layout and underscored her growing stature as one of India’s most complete young golfers across formats.
With this victory, Pranavi became the first woman to lift an IGPL trophy — a milestone moment for Indian golf and for a format designed to test the country’s best players on a level playing field.
