18-year-old Rakshit Dahiya of Delhi recorded his first win on the IGU Amateur Tour

The IGU Amateur Tour visited Chandigarh Golf Club last week, with Delhi’s 18-year-old Rakshit Dahiya emerging as the winner, based on scores over three rounds with the final round being called off due to border disturbances.

Dahiya, who had finished third at the IGU Northern India Amateur Championship just a week earlier, delivered a career-best 9-under 63 in the third round to surge ahead of the field after earlier rounds of 73 and 68. He posted a 54-hole total of 12-under-par 204 to clinch the title by four strokes.

Second place went to Sukhman Singh of Noida, who had led after the second round. Singh carded rounds of 72-67-69 for a three-day total of 8-under 208.

The IGU National Men’s Amateur circuit now moves to Delhi Golf Club for the IGU Delhi State NCR Cup, scheduled from May 27–30.
