In the latest example of the widespread success in golf of Indian Americans , 13-year-old Athena Singh won the Lexington Junior City Championship, Kentucky by a whopping margin of 14 strokes with 140 participants. Singh has been a regular on the Kentucky junior circuit, where she has several wins to her name.
In 2020, she was named Kentucky Junior ‘Player of the Year’ in her age category and made it to the prestigious Drive Chip & Putt finals at Augusta National, home of The Masters.
