In a welcome trend, more Indian youngsters seem to be opting for the preferred route to golfing success. Kolkata’s 16 year old Sinjini Mukherjee, a beneficiary of the Golf Foundation, has received a 100% scholarship to pursue her education at Erskine College, an NCAA Division II college in South Carolina, USA.
Mukherjee finished 2nd in the ProTouch Ladies Open in March, and won the 2022 CFL Ladies Open while she finished 5th in the All India Ladies Amateur.

Meanwhile Delhi’s Ragini Navet, joins the University of Southern Mississippi golf team after winning the team qualifying tournament for the South Alabama college tournament where she finished 1st with rounds of 73-74-70-71-71.

Navet has plenty of international experience, including the US Kids European Championship, The European Van Horn Cup, the Kids World Golf Championship in Malaysia, The FCG International, and the IMG Junior World Championship. She also picked up her first international win at the Kids World Golf Championship in Malaysia in 2019.

IGW wishes both girls all the best in their careers and hope this trend continues to gather momentum in the future.
