16-year-old Kanav Chauhan from Noida won the IGU All India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2025 at ITC Classic Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon with a creditable score of 13-under 275 (66-72-71-66) to take the overall title.
The win fits a player who’s been collecting trophies in different formats. In 2024, Chauhan won the IGU Eastern India Amateur at RCGC, Kolkata, while in 2025 he won three times—including the Western India Amateur and the Thailand Junior Championship plus a sixth-place finish at the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam.
Back at ITC Classic, Punjab’s Danish Verma finished second overall at 11-under 277 (72-70-67-68) and also won the B age category.
The best final-day score came from Delhi’s Pritish Karayat, who fired a tournament-best 9-under 63 to climb into third at 10-under 278 (70-73-72-63).
In the age category C, Karnataka’s Adit Veeramachaneni and Chandigarh’s Zorawar Sandhu tied at 9-under 207 before Veeramachaneni won the playoff on the fifth hole.
