Karma Lakelands continues to set standards in eco-friendly practices

Karma Lakelands, the 270 acre eco golf resort in Gurugram, has been recognised as a global case study for climate responsive enterprise.

The recognition highlights the resort’s Net Zero Vision 2030 and its broader Triple Net Zero goal across carbon, water and waste. The award shows the property as a leading example of how sustainability can be embedded into core business operations in the hospitality sector.

Over the years, Karma Lakelands has integrated renewable energy, water conservation, biodiversity enhancement and low carbon design into a structured sustainability roadmap, positioning itself among early adopters of responsible luxury infrastructure in India.

The research documenting this transformation was led by Professor S N Mishra and presented at the ICCMRO Conference in collaboration with Management Development Institute Gurgaon, TERI School of Advanced Studies and Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Karma Lakelands founder Ashwani Khurana said the vision goes beyond intent, adding that sustainability at Karma Lakelands is built into design, operations and long term planning.

The recognition places the Gurugram based resort within a global conversation on building resilient, future ready organisations in an increasingly uncertain climate landscape.
