The 2025 season marked a breakthrough year for Indian women’s golf, highlighted by an unprecedented 5 girls retaining or earning full playing rights for 2026.
Diksha Dagar, a two-time LET winner, finished 25th on the rankings to retain her card. Avani Prashanth placed 36th in her first year to secure continuity while Pranavi Urs ended 43rd to continue her third year on tour, despite sitting out due to injury for a good part of the summer.
These three were joined by 21 year old Gurgaon girl Hitaashee Bakshi thanks largely to her third-place finish at the US$500,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open.
And finally veteran Vani Kapoor, the 2025 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit winner, who earned five victories at home will begin 2026 with 12 guaranteed LET starts, with a chance to earn more starts in 2027.
The progress is striking. As recently as 2023, Diksha Dagar was India’s lone full-time representative on the LET. In 2026, India will have five players with meaningful status, underlining the unprecedented success of Indian women on the international stage.
