Team Crushers GC celebrate with their respective caddies

Arjuna Awardee Anirban Lahiri, the sole Indian on the breakaway LIV Golf Tour, continued his strong showing with a tied-11th finish at LIV Golf Dallas, held from June 27–29 at the Maridoe Golf Club in Texas. Following his close runner-up finish last month in Virginia, Lahiri posted rounds of 70-73-70 to finish at 3-under 213, his fourth top-12 finish in 9 starts this season.

Lahiri’s form has remained consistent, and with just four events left in the LIV Golf League’s 2025 season, the Indian star looks well on track to retain his place in the league next year. Currently sitting 13th in the individual standings, Lahiri remains securely inside the “Lock Zone”—the coveted top 24 that guarantees automatic status for the 2026 season.

While Lahiri maintained his strong form in Dallas, his team Crushers GC delivered another dominant performance. Captained by 2-time U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau, Crushers won their third consecutive team title and ninth overall, finishing at 18-under as a team—a staggering 11 strokes clear of second-placed 4Aces GC. All four Crushers players—DeChambeau, Lahiri, Paul Casey, and Charles Howell III—finished inside the top 11 individually.

Lahiri, meanwhile, wasted no time between tournaments. As the dust settled in Dallas, he flew across the Atlantic to England to compete in the Final Qualifying for The Open Championship in Somerset on July 2. Hoping for a return to The Open—his last appearance came in 2018—Lahiri posted a 6th-place finish with rounds of 68 and 69 for a 5-under 137 total, falling just one shot shy of the top five who earned spots at Royal Troon.

Lahiri missed out on a spot at the Final Qualifying of The Open by one shot

Lahiri, a two-time Olympian and European Tour winner, has shown consistent form this year. With the T-2 finish in Virginia and now another solid result in Dallas, the 38-year-old appears to be trending upward, perhaps edging closer to a long-awaited LIV breakthrough win.

Next Up:
Lahiri and Crushers GC will next be in action at LIV Golf Andalucía from July 11–13, hosted at the iconic Real Club Valderrama in Spain. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Valderrama is famed for having hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup and is one of the most iconic layouts on the LIV calendar.
