
Aditi building momentum at the right time
Aditi Ashok, 27, moved within touching distance of the US$300,000 (₹2.6 crore) milestone on the LPGA this season, after finishing 32nd at the US$4.1 million FM Championship in Massachusetts. The Bangalore golfer shot 71-69-71-71 (7-under 281), earning US$28,000 (₹25 lakh) for the week.
With this, Aditi’s season earnings climb to US$296,000 from 9 cuts in 15 starts, including two top-10 finishes. She sits 68th in the LPGA’s standings, needing to break into the top-60 over the final 10 events to qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship.
Aditi’s standout year was in 2023.

Indian-origin Megha Ganne, 21, a Stanford student and reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur champion, underlined her readiness for the pro game, finishing 53rd as a special invitee last week on the LPGA Tour.
In a bid to break into the top 60 of LPGA rankings, Aditi will now play in Ohio at the US$2 million Kroger Queen City Championship from September 11–14.
