Malaysia’s Kota Permai poses stiff challenge

Players arrive at Kota Permai in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur’s Kota Permai Golf Club , which has hosted numerous European and Asian Tour pro events posed a stiff challenge for the Indian contingent during last week’s Malaysia Golf Challenge. A group of 42 men and ladies made the trip for this inaugural event which aims to become a regular event on the calendar of keen golfers looking for a high quality international tournament experience during the Indian off season, during the Monsoons.

The group enjoyed their stay at the plush Le Meridien, Petaling Jaya which provided outstanding hospitality and played three rounds of golf at Kota Permai, considered to be one of the premier courses in South East Asia. 

Winners at the Awards Dinner

Mumbai’s 10 handicap golfer Paresh Kapasi emerged as the overall winner to claim the prize of a 5 days and 4 nights trip for 2 to Kuala Lumpur.

Gautam Balakrishnan, who plays off a 6 handicap, shot a fine round of gross 78 on Day 3 to win the Best Gross prize.
