31-year-old Neha Tripathi of Kolkata shot 68-67-73 to win her second title of the season at the 12th Leg of the Hero WPGT at Golden Greens Golf Club in Gurgaon.

Tripathi’s winning score of 8-under 208 was three shots better than Tvesa Malik from Gurgaon, who shot 75-70-66 to finish at 5-under 211. Hot on her heels in a tie for third place was Ridhima Dilawari, another talented player from Gurgaon, who carded rounds of 70-72-70 to finish at 4-under 212, and Riya Yadav, who turned professional just last year, and delivered a stellar performance with rounds of 70-67-75.

Tripathi is the third player to win two events this season. The other two are Sneha Singh and Gaurika Bishnoi. Tripathi also moved into second on the Hero Order of Merit with Singh currently leading the way.  Seher Atwal, who was 12th this week, is third.

Later when asked to share if she had made any changes in her bag, she added, “I did get two new clubs in my bag. Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond which was fitted to me by GurBaaz Mann and Odyssey Trihot 5k putter which was fitted to me at the Callaway performance Centre in Bangalore by Sandeep Sayal. I attribute a lot of the success in the last week to the new equipment.”

The tour will remain in Gurgaon for its 13th Leg from Sep. 18-21 at DLF Golf & CC, followed by the 14th Leg from Sep. 26-29 at Delhi Golf Club, which leads into the Hero Women’s Indian Open from Oct. 19-22 at DLF Golf & CC in Gurgaon.
