Shubham Jaglan makes the cut on the number, finishes T-44 in pro debut

In his very first start as a professional, 20-year-old Shubham Jaglan, formerly from Delhi Golf Club,  made a promising entry into the world of pro golf at the US$225,000 Bromont Open on the PGA Tour Americas in Canada.

A recent graduate from the University of South Florida, Jaglan opened with rounds of 69 and 65, making the cut right on the number at 5-under-par. He followed that up on the weekend with 65 on Saturday and a closing 70—to finish Tied-44th at 10-under 270, earning his first professional paycheck of US$846.

It may not be a life-changing sum, but it’s a meaningful start—both a confidence boost and a reality check for the young golfer as he begins navigating the pro circuit after graduating from college, where he starred for his team.

Jaglan won’t have to wait long for his next chance. He’s set to tee it up at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open, another US$225,000 event, from July 24–27.

His journey to the PGA Tour Americas wasn’t easy. Jaglan earned his full playing rights with a T-8 finish and a clutch five-hole playoff win at the qualifying event in Indiana—claiming the last full status card on offer.

The PGA Tour Americas, formed in 2024 by merging PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and PGA TOUR Canada, serves as a developmental path to the Korn Ferry Tour. The top 10 in the Fortinet Cup standings will earn full Korn Ferry status, while additional conditional cards are up for grabs based on performance in each swing.
