24-year-old Indian-Canadian, Sudarshan Yellamaraju, made his 8th cut in 9 starts this year as he posted rounds of 69-73-66-70 (10-under 278) for a T-14th finish at the US$ 9.8mn Valero Texas Open.
Yellamaraju, whose story has amazed media and fans ever since his 5th place finish at The Players some weeks ago – largely learned the game by watching YouTube videos, has earned over US$1.7 million so far after graduating from the 2nd rung Korn Ferry Tour in 2025.
Yellamaraju currently stands 27th on the FedEx Cup rankings and 119th on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
The other three Indian-origin players on the PGA Tour – Sahith Theegala, Akshay Bhatia and Aaron Rai – did not participate in Texas.
