Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Sandhu, 28, stamped his authority on the domestic circuit with a commanding eight-shot win, his 3rd of the year, at the ₹1 crore Mysuru Open 2025, carding 61-65-62-61 for a record 31-under 249 at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club.
A winner on the Asian Development Tour in 2023, Sandhu now leads the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) rankings with winnings of ₹73.6 lakh, bolstered by the ₹15 lakh winner’s cheque in Mysuru. “Winning with a 31-under score and a huge margin is every golfer’s dream. I dedicate this to my grandmother who we lost two months ago and to my caddie Sonu, who did an outstanding job this week,” Sandhu said.
Delhi’s Arjun Prasad, with eight top-10s, finished third to move up to second on the 2025 PGTI season rankings with ₹61.1 lakh.
What’s Next for Sandhu?
The challenge is whether Sandhu will now elect to play more as the more lucrative but more competitive Asian Tour season restarts or whether he will focus on consolidating his No. 1 spot in India to secure the coveted DP World Tour invitation for 2026 awarded to the 2025 PGTI rankings leader.
