17-year-old Mahreen Bhatia delivered an all-round performance to finish Tied-6th in the Girls 15–18 division at the USwing Mojing Junior World Golf Championships, held at the iconic Torrey Pines South Course from July 8-10.

Bhatia opened with impressive rounds of 69 and 70 to be in contention and lead the tournament through the first 36 holes. However, pin positions tightened during the final round, and Mahreen struggled to convert her birdie opportunities. Despite a closing round of 74 that gave her a total of 3-under 213, she earned a share of sixth place. Mahreen was just three shots behind the joint winners—Anna Iwanaga of Japan and Australia’s Amelia Harris—who finished at 6-under 210.

The tournament was played across three days (July 8–10) at the South Course of Torrey Pines Golf Club, a venue that has hosted multiple PGA TOUR events and the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Opens. Known for its narrow landing zones, coastal winds, and challenging green complexes, the course was a stern test even for elite juniors.

India’s Manvi Singhania and Nayonika Kapoor were also in the playing field, but they finished a distant Tied-95th and 166th, respectively.
