Sahith Theegala, the 26-year-old California native of Indian origin who has climbed to 21st in the World Rankings after winning on the 2023 PGA Tour and scoring a 2nd place finish at the 2024 season opening Tournament of Champions posted rounds of 72-69-70-71 (2-under 282) at the US$20 million Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods at the iconic Riviera Golf Course in Los Angeles, California.

Already on the 2024 PGA Tour, Theegala has made the cut in five out of six outings, accumulating over US$2.8 million and currently at 10th on the FedEx Cup Rankings.
The tournament also signified Tiger Woods’ comeback to professional golf, marking his first appearance since the Masters in April of the previous year. Despite successfully completing his first round with a respectable 1-over 72, Tiger had to withdraw during his second round due to influenza. He later shared this information on X (formerly known as Twitter).
