28-year-old Veer Ahlawat, current No 1 on the PGTI and coming off a huge 2nd place finish on the European Tour’s US$2.25 million Hero Indian Open last March, has been extended a coveted invitation to participate in the US$2.5 million European Open this week in Germany.
Ahlawat will be joining European Tour regular Shubhankar Sharma and OP Chouhan, the 2023 PGTI Ranking leader.
Currently, Ahlawat enjoys a commanding lead in the PGTI rankings, positioning him favourably to clinch full European Tour playing rights for 2025. A good finish this week will not only boost his confidence but also earn him additional invitations in Europe this year.
